Great Spanning Capacity:
BUILDSTAR purlin have a minimum yield strength approximately 60% greater than that of hot rolled steel i.e. angel, channels, typically used for purlins. This high strength-to-weight ratio in most application allows extra spanning capacity for most cost effective structures.
Easier to Handle:
The higher strength to lower weight ratio provides further benefits through easier handling of the lighter section, both in at the time of transportation to site and during erection.
Lower Maintenance Cost:
Surface damage that can be caused during transportation and erection can have adverse effects on the appearance of the purlins. The continuously hot- dipped galvanized finish is an effective barrier and is superior to anti-corrosion paint in toughness and adhesion. Superior corrosion resistance of the zinc coating means that potentially high maintenance costs are avoided.
Easy & Quick fixing:
Because of relatively thin and light weight of the high strength sections than conventional steel systems, fixing time can be reduced using nuts and bolts.

BUILDSTAR Z purlins can be used over single spans, un-lapped continuous and lapped continuous spans in multi bay buildings. Lapped continuous spans result in a considerable capacity increase in the system.
BUILDSTAR C purlins can be used over single spans, un-lapped continuous spans in multi bay buildings. These type of sections are ideal as eave purlin or where compact sections are required for detailing. C sections cannot be lapped.
Size and Dimension:
The standard sizes for BUILDSTAR purlins are produced in nominal depth of 100mm up to 300mm. The sections are generally designed by the designer of client. The thickness of the purlin available from 1.5mm up to 3mm.
Shapes and Sections:
BUILDSTAR provides three type shapes of purlin, i.e. Z purlin & C purlin to use for purlins and girts. Though each has individual characteristics, every shape purlins perform effectively and in many instances the choice of one section over the other can come down to the personal preference of the designer.
BUILDSTAR Purlins are comply with IS 277 in case of galvanized and IS 2062, Grade A in case of Hot Rolled or Mild Steel form.
BUILDSTAR Purlins are available custom-cut in any transportable length. Length tolerance for all section is ÃâÃÂ±5mm.
